The W501 model from Optoma combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2500 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (15W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 27 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
