The technical data of the Optoma DS3 XL includes 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 as well as a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 5000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.8 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 444 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 296 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
