Designed for the Short Distance sector, the EH412STx model from Optoma features 4000 ANSI lumens, a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast ratio of 50000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 100 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 643 cm can be illuminated with 4000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 429 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
