The equipment of the Optoma HD300X projector includes 1600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 8000:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. Regarding projection size, the value of 1600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 406 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 271 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 27 decibels. This model dates back to 2011 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range. Ive had the HD 300 X for a good six months now and use it almost every day. Whether 2D, 3D, HD or SD, I can only say that I am absolutely satisfied with this device at this price. I use dlp-link glasses for 3D playback and I have to say that I am absolutely thrilled with it. Recently, after a long time, I went to a “real” movie theater again and was extremely disappointed by the quality offered there. I assume that it was the movie, but so far I have not found a source that produces a clearer full HD image than the HD 300 X. With a current price of about 150 euros for a replacement lamp, it is also perfectly conceivable and easily feasible to use it as a TV replacement. Unfortunately, this device is no longer being built, so in two or three years I will have to look for a suitable (hopefully even better) new device. Until then, I will certainly have many more beautiful and impressive viewing experiences with the HD 300 X. Even now, a more than clear buy recommendation!!!

Very good projector
Very good projector.
Has been running for 5 months without any problems. Brightness and black level are very good. I can‘t say anything about faulty projectors.
All in all, a clear recommendation to buy. You won‘t find a comparable projector for the price.

Somehow there are a lot of faulty projectors on the market, you can read about it in some forums. I‘ve had my projector for 9 months now, and it‘s been under repair for 3 months. Optoma makes it really difficult to recommend the device.

Top Beamer
Absolutely recommendable beamer.
Accepts all 3D formats in all Hz feeds where other entry-level beamers such as benq w1070 are more picky.
Very quiet in Eco mode, normal mode also still acceptable and not disturbing in movie mode.
Enough brightness for 3m screens, even in 3D.
Absolute buy recommendation!

Optoma HD300X
I have also had this projector for a few months with the corresponding RF wireless glasses from Optoma.
Because of the low market price, this projector gets 5 stars from me, because at this price it is unbeatable.
In 3D mode with the RF glasses very very good picture.
In 2D mode after appropriate picture settings good to very good. I recommend HD test images for the settings, especially for the correct color gradation.
The projector is very bright with good picture-in-picture contrast. The black level is satisfactory at o.20 lumens. The associated slight grey haze in the colors can be masked well if the pure color mode level 1 or 2 is used, so that the colors shine more intensely.

Well, what can I say. The color wheel of the first projector was defective, the color wheel of the second projector was defective. Instead of sending a new projector, the device was sent for repair, came back after a month and works great but the remote control now had a loose contact, no projector pleasure without the remote control. However, I got it replaced.

cool 3D projector
I‘ve only had the projector for a few days, but the
purchase was more than worth it. It supports all current 3D standards including Nvidia 3DVision and frame-packing. Add to that the FullHD resolution, what more could you want. I use it for 3D output with Nvidia and an external emitter works perfectly! Fan noise is hardly noticeable in home theater mode.
