The hardware properties of the HZ48UST manufactured by Optoma include 4500 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast value of 3000000:1. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 30000 hours, which translates to 20.5 years with 4 hours of daily use. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 50 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 4500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 682 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 455 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2021, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
