As a projector for the Micro-Portabel sector, the Optoma ML550 is equipped with 550 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 10000:1. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 20000 hours of runtime. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 550 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 238 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 159 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
