Categorized in the Short Distance segment, the GT760 projector from Optoma projects with a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution, alongside 3400 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 20000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4500 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 104 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3400 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 592 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 395 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
