Designed for the Homecinema sector, the HD800X model from Optoma features 1200 ANSI lumens, a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast ratio of 5000:1. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 352 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 235 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 29 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.

Have had this projector for 2 years, unbeatable value for money.
Not suitable for every room due to zoom! Should not run at maximum brightness, as it then smells unpleasant.

Very good price/performance projector
The projector has been in use for 1 week, very good image sharpness, good black level and contrast, no convergence problems as expected
Less nice is the operating noise at 60Hz, which then becomes clearly audible due to the 6x color wheel.
The main problem with these Full-HD DLP projectors for many is probably the set-up - little zoom and a hefty offset make it quite difficult to set up these projectors halfway.
If you can do it anyway, and don‘t primarily play PS3 games or watch NTSC DVDs, you can risk a look in any case, because this projector is top in terms of price/performance ratio, and is also 24p-capable without overscan.
