A projector from Optoma is the GT780, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 3800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 25000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 6000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 8.2 years based on two hours of use per day. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 104 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 417 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2021 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
