Based on DLP technology, the Optoma UHZ36 device delivers 4375 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 1000000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. To allow for cross-manufacturer brightness comparisons, the stated ANSI lumen value is based on a conversion of the ISO lumen values. Looking at practical performance, up to 601 cm can be illuminated with 4375 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 401 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Thanks to support for optional Miracast, Airplay and Chromecast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
