Based on LCD technology, the Nec PA522U device delivers 5200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 5000:1 as a projector. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 733 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 489 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
