Designed for the Short Distance sector, the UM351W model from Nec features 3500 ANSI lumens, a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3800 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.2 years possible. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 72 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (20W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
