Behind the name NP52 is a BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Nec, whose main features include 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1600:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2500 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2600 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 444 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 296 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range.

I bought the device new 3 years and 4 months ago. During this period, the device was repaired three times under warranty (no repair report was created). The fourth fault occurred three weeks after the end of the warranty period. Repair costs €291.55, again without a repair report. Unfortunately, this repair was not successful. Comment from the company: The lamp and fan must be replaced. Lamp and fan replaced despite low running time, fault is the same. I can only advise against this device in connection with the service
