Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the LT280 model from Nec features 2500 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 600:1. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
