According to Benq, the V5010i model provides 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 2500000:1 alongside a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 50 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 2500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 508 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 339 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. The integrated Google Assistant ensures comfortable operation, allowing the projector to be controlled via voice commands. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. Thanks to support for Airplay and Chromecast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2024 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
