Based on DLP technology, the Benq TH550 device delivers 3500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 and a contrast of 20000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 401 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
