Based on DLP technology, the Benq PB8240 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. Since entering the market in 2004, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

The plug connector, to which both fans are connected at the back, occasionally had poor contact, so that the fans no longer
cool properly and the electronic protection circuit became effective.
With a narrow strip of paper clamped between the plug and socket,
I was able to solve the contact problem permanently.

Problems with lamp
Hello,
We are very happy with the appliance, but now have a problem:
The lamp fails after a few minutes (lamp diode flashes). Filters are cleaned, appliance "blown through" with fan without opening it.
After disconnecting from the mains, the lamp runs again for a short time.
Any ideas?

Super portable, very light, super picture and colors.:hop
I am very enthusiastic and would buy it again at any time.super bright, super contrast and colors I am very impressed with the 2240.the only drawback is no lens shift and no YUV/DVI connections.but for the price really a top device.
