Behind the name MX731 is a 3D-DLP projector by Benq, whose main features include 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 367 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
