The basic data of the Benq PB2140 includes 1600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 as well as a contrast of 2000:1. According to Benq, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 348 cm can be illuminated with 1600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 232 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

I again... after more than a year and a new screen later, I now have to realize that the rainbow effect only occurs strongly on woodchip wallpaper. Now that I only watch on canvas I have no more Rbe problems! So if DLP then on canvas! UNCONDITIONALLY!

Magnificently ultra-portable!
Hello! I was able to get hold of the device for just €510. With one year on-site service incl. replacement device! 3 years manufacturer warranty. Really nice what BenQ has come up with! The picture is really excellent. Clear, expressive colors, great black levels and super contrast! The light output doesn‘t blow me away, but it‘s okay in Eco mode and in a sufficiently darkened room. Unfortunately, there is a HUGE point deduction when it comes to suitability for movie theaters. I bought this Proki ONLY for watching DvD/TV, and have now realized that I react badly to the rainbow effect. It gets really bad with Sin City, for example. Black and white movies almost make me feel nauseous. Since I haven‘t yet had a comparison with other more expensive (more than 4 color wheel 2x speed) DLP class projectors in dark rooms (no Mediamarkt studios!!), I don‘t know whether this is a purely subjective problem. If I don‘t get used to it in the near future, I will unfortunately have to replace the Proki with an LCD again.
For presentations in lamp-eating presentation mode, it is certainly well suited (as long as you don‘t use white lettering on a black background!!! ;-))

good price-performance ratio
The Benq PB2140 is now available for 600.- I am very satisfied with the quality when viewing digital photos and DVDs via the D-sub 15pin. The connection via S-video or RCA is slightly worse - but this may also be due to my graphics card. The fan noise is also OK.
Conclusion: very good price-performance ratio and good for "normal" requirements.

Better it does not go for the price ,, simply TOP, :)) now schom from 600 euros
I will keep myself short, I have looked in different stores some parts from 780 euros to 1250 euros and tested .
And I had something to complain about all contrast was so bad with some although
they had 2000 / 1 or you had a good resolution but the colors were dull, etc. and the cheap ones from 799 euros had such large pixels on the screen with a picture of 200m by 150m that I thought the device was defective, but when I read your test report about the Benq PB2140 I looked for a store that carries such a device, to make a long story short I didn‘t have another device, I paid 615 euros and it is even better than one for 1300 euros and the second thing was that the lamp lasts 3000 hours. ( 300 Euro )
And not only 1500 or even only 2000 and then the lamp costs
the same 450 to 520 Euro
The device is simply TOP IN THE PRICE CLASS WITH DLP CIP
I WOULD HAVE BUILT A DEVICE BUT THERE WAS ONLY THE RESOLUTION
BETTER IT WOULD HAVE COST ME 1800 EURO FOR ALMOST THE SAME RESULT . but you don‘t have to look 5m on 5m
