This projector from Benq utilizes DLP technology, achieving 100 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1 at a resolution of WVGA 858 x 600. As an LED projector, the spec sheet indicates a lifespan of 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 102 cm can be illuminated with 100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 68 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device.

have had the benq for a good six months now and have to say it‘s a really nice toy.
unfortunately it doesn‘t have a zoom function as claimed in the previous post. only the focus can be adjusted. incidentally, the weakness of the focus is that it always goes a little out of focus when the device is switched off and therefore has to be readjusted when it is restarted.
I myself have owned a mitsubishi hd1000 for the living room for a few years now, which of course displays a completely different picture and also accepts significantly more signal sources.
but the gp1 is completely sufficient for quick viewing in between (tv applications), especially in the bedroom, where it‘s dark anyway.
conclusion: good tv replacement for little money

Small and nice.
The GP1 produces a very respectable image in sufficiently darkened rooms.
The colors appear vibrant.
The image is sharp despite the “small” resolution.
It has a ring on the lens for focus correction and an adjustment ring for the zoom.
For Unfortunately, this device is still too light for home cinema use (100Ansi), and the picture diagonal is a bit too small for my taste. Conclusion: As a “second projector” or as a toy, a good choice, but not suitable as a replacement. - The LEDs are coming, not yet but in a few years they will find their way into living rooms.
