Based on LCD technology, the Epson EMP 710 device delivers 1000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 400:1 as a projector. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 2000 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.

Have had the projector for 2 years now. It‘s actually quite ok so far. But it‘s quite loud with its 40db, especially when it turns up due to the heat. What‘s just incredibly outrageous are the prices for replacement bulbs. I‘ll probably have to resort to the lamp replacement service because I find almost 400 € for a lamp whose bulb (the actually broken part) doesn‘t cost 40 € pretty brazen.
