Based on LCD technology, the Epson EB-2040 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 4200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Epson, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. Regarding projection size, the value of 4200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 564 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 376 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2017 and is no longer part of Epson's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
