The technical data of the Epson EB-L12002Q includes 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 as well as a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 display. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 12000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1113 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 742 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. This model dates back to 2020 and is no longer part of Epson's current product range.
