With the EH-TW5820, Epson offers a 3D-LCD projector that features 2700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 70000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Epson, the included lamp lasts up to 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 2700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 528 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 352 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. The projector was released in 2020 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
