According to Epson USA, the PowerLite 79 model provides 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 2000:1 alongside a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
