Based on LCD technology, the Epson USA EX5240 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 3600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 5000 hours for this projector's lamp. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Looking at practical performance, up to 523 cm can be illuminated with 3600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 349 cm. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
