Equipped with LCD technology, the Epson USA PowerLite 580 offers 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 62 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 493 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 329 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
