As a projector, the Viewsonic PJD5223 combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 2700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 3000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. Looking at practical performance, up to 453 cm can be illuminated with 2700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 302 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Viewsonic.
