Known as the LSD400HD-ST, this Laser-DLP projector by Viewsonic features basic specs of 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000000:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 100 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket.
