Based on DLP technology, the Barco Thor+ device delivers 32000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 and a contrast of 6000:1 as a projector. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 793 cm can be illuminated with 32000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 529 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
