The Barco FLM HD20 is a DLP projector that brings 20000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution alongside a contrast of 1800:1. According to Barco, the lamp has a durability of 750 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1437 cm can be illuminated with 20000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 958 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
