The hardware properties of the SLM G5 Executive manufactured by Barco include 5000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 500:1. According to Barco, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 616 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 411 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
