As a projector, the Barco MGP D5 - DICOM THEATER Lite combines DLP technology with a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050, and is additionally specified with 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2004, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
