The hardware properties of the SIM 5H manufactured by Barco include 2000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast value of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
