The DLA X55R / RBE is a 3D-DILA projector by JVC, whose specifications list 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to perfectly align the image even with off-center installations – exact dimensions are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 244 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 20 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
