The JVC DLA RS55 is a 3D-DILA projector that brings 1200 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution alongside a contrast of 80000:1. According to JVC, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted without quality loss. The exact adjustment leeway can be calculated in the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 352 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 235 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 20 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by JVC.
