This projector is named DLA X3, originates from JVC, and its data sheet shows 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 3000 hours. This model is available with either a black or white housing. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to perfectly align the image even with off-center installations – exact dimensions are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 366 cm can be illuminated with 1300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 244 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 20 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
Have swapped my Sony VPL-HW15 for the JVC, no comparison, the JVC is definitely the unbeaten contrast champion in 2D (after calibration) anyway and also 3D enthusiastic, can neither flicker, ghosting, double contours or similar and that with 25 tested 3D films so far, I can only recommend it, I for one would buy it again immediately! Thumbs up !!!!

Great picture
I had a look at the JVC at a specialist dealer and was particularly impressed by the cinematic look of the picture.
I really liked the color reproduction and contrast impression of the X 3. The e-shifting is also a practical feature. I will probably get this beautifully designed device in white, as this dealer still offers remaining stock at a good price.

Top beamer!
I can‘t understand the previous poster‘s statements at all. I didn‘t expect such an outstanding black level and contrast in this price range. The Sony HW 30 is dramatically worse in direct comparison (had the opportunity to compare 5 devices directly at the dealer) in terms of image contrast / black level...The Sony has a very "muddy" image and little punch. With the iris switched off, it is even worse (the iris creates brightness fluctuations "pumping" the brightness when the picture content changes quickly from dark to light and vice versa). The
JVC, on the other hand, does not need an iris! The FI with 120 HZ works excellently in 2d, produces a super-smooth, very sharp image in motion... This is not absolutely necessary in 3d, the image is still good (besides, 99% of films are released in 2 and 3d is more likely to be seen as a nice extra in the next few years. The electronic lens shift and lens memory is a super-fine thing, if I imagine I had to run to the projector several times in the evening, get a ladder and change the shift from 21:9 to 16:9 and vice versa, that would be a horrible idea ;-) I‘m super happy with the JVC.

Very dissatisfied!
Unfortunately, the negative aspects outweigh the positive ones! 3D image is not acceptable to me. Particularly in animated films, ghosting is visible in almost all image content. (Animals United, for example) In the IMAX 3D Wild Ocean, there are animated sequences in the opening credits! Double contours are visible in all image content. Pixel noise in 2D mode is particularly annoying on TV! I ordered the HW 30 for comparison. It works almost flawlessly in all areas. Since I value motorized optics, I tried JVC. The disappointment is very big for me. JVC is no longer an option for me. Even the blurred image during movements is unacceptable. Sony is still a big step ahead! For 3D, a good FI is highly recommended. Too bad! Contrast is not everything. In the white living room, the X3 was out of its league anyway.

JVC DLA X3
I‘ve owned the projector for 4 weeks and I‘m very satisfied.
I‘m also completely convinced by the 3D projection in this case.
The fan is also extremely quiet in the Eco module.
At this price, you can definitely buy the device.
