The Panasonic PT EX12K is a LCD projector offering 13000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 13000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 993 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 662 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
