Equipped with LCD technology, the Panasonic PT AX100E offers 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 454 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 303 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 26 decibels. can you mount the projector with its feet directly on the ceiling? Is the resulting distance from the ceiling sufficient to dissipate the warm air? Does this reduce the lamp life? ...

Incredible but true!
My Panasonic PT-AE700 projector recently gave up the ghost; probably just a minor defect in the end. I took the opportunity to look around for a new projector. In the process, I came across the Sharp XV Z3300. In a direct comparison with 5 other projectors, it stood out so much in terms of contrast and black level that I initially opted for it. Unfortunately, the enthusiasm quickly dimmed at home in the home cinema: the contrast, luminosity and black level of the SHARP were impressive, but
- a lot of clearly visible fly screen at a diagonal of 3.90 at a distance of approx. 5 meters
seating position; I didn‘t have this with the 700!
- even worse de-interlacer than the 700 (all the letters
flicker in every title credit (quite suitable for testing)
- very difficult to set up, as there is no lens shift
- fraying edges on the right and left
This was no fun after 5 days and I have now bought this PANASONIC PT AX100, which is significantly cheaper, which was not really my aim. But,
You have to be aware of which of the 5 projector features are most important to you when weighing them up.
By the way: I had also looked at the new FullHD projector from BenQ. Not bad at all, at 2.50 meters. However, I didn‘t like it because the zoom range was too small, as I‘ve been using Panansonic at 4.10 meters for years.

superb picture via hdmi
I‘ve had this projector for 2 months now and I‘m simply delighted with it. I just can‘t get enough of it.......For some, the pictures may seem too color-intensive - I think it‘s absolutely brilliant (finally some color comes into play). I have a Yamaha DVD-S1700 player as a player and my sweetheart is also thrilled with the picture on the wall.

Perfect for Blu-ray and HD DVD!!!
I was amazed when I saw the picture on my Blu-ray and HD DVD player! Excellent colors, perfect sharpness and for this price range an outstanding contrast are not self-evident! I previously had a tube projector for over 10 years and have to say that the Panasonic surpasses it in all respects except for the black level!!!!!
This projector is simply PERFECT for the new media and can also be recommended without reservation for old DVDs via HDMI!!!
An absolute TOP device and to be recommended to anyone who wants to have an HDTV picture at reference level in their home!!!

Super projector but with small weaknesses
I think the projector is super but unfortunately convergence errors and the iris diaphragm are sometimes visible in bright scenes. However, both are hardly noticeable when watching movies. Could also be a little quieter. Otherwise TOP!
