Model Overview The PD125 model from Acer combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours.
Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm.
Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

The PD125 was one of the first DLP projectors that was affordable for home use. No problem with sharpness settings. We run the projector in Eco mode - this is sometimes too dark when playing old movies from VHS.

3 Stars Acer 125 PD
I bought an Acer 125 PD and returned it! Not ideal for home theater purposes! Rainbow effect is not so annoying, but the device has problems with sharp and blurred! (only during the credits of a movie (writing) you can clearly see the problem! - when watching a dvd you notice it during fast action scenes (had to change settings up to 5 times per movie!). It‘s fine for occasional DVD watching... I opted for a Sanyo Z3. According to the seller, LCD technology is better for cheap home theater than DLP! My conclusion: it‘s better to buy a 2nd or 3rd generation device than the 1st of a new technology.
