Based on DLP technology, the Acer M550BD device delivers 2900 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 900000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 547 cm can be illuminated with 2900 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 365 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels. This model dates back to 2019 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range.
