bought used, with only 128 lamp hours and already many black pixels and 3 white pixels, a pity actually, very good projector, really quiet, super picture quality! but not to be used as a TV replacement because the projector consumes more power than a 55 inch TV, can someone tell me where I can get the DLPchp from?

I‘ve had the P1265 for about 3 years and it‘s been hanging in my garden for about 2 years (covered and in winter the pergola is closed with 10mm double-webbed panels) all year round and the thing runs and runs and runs and hasn‘t had to replace a burner yet. As I said, it runs every evening, even every day if it‘s WM or F1. I have no idea how many Btr. hours it has already done. I am thrilled.

I prefer any large TV to this device because the fly screen, which stands out sooo much at a diagonal of 1m and a sitting distance of 3.5m, is sooo good. For diagrams ok but movies or games at 720p : ( I just say pixel amplifier !!!

super quiet!!!
Have had the P1265 for 14 days now and am delighted. I only run it in Eco mode, so it‘s almost inaudible and the picture is still bright enough! The only thing I don‘t find 100% good is the contrast, everything else, especially for the price, is first class!!!

I can recommend this projector
The Acer P1265 is only used in our office for presentations and that in a daylit meeting room. Apart from the low background noise, the picture is excellent. We sometimes even have the light on and can still give great presentations. In my opinion, the only negative point is the low zoom factor. I have to play with the distance a little to get the optimum image size. Nevertheless, a great device that I can recommend.

Great price-performance ratio
I bought the Acer P1256.
In summary, I have to say that I have not regretted it.
The projector is 7m away from a woodchip wall. I only watch DVDs and have of course also tried a TV picture. The picture is 3m wide and 1.68m high. Device runs in ECO mode. Conclusion: Great rich colors, no one has noticed any rainbow effect so far. Sharpness is very good, contrast could of course be a little better. But at this price...!!!! Illumination is absolutely excellent despite the projection size and ECO mode. So what can I say? If you don‘t want to set up a movie theater at home and like to have a large picture (which is actually the whole point of the whole thing), this device is absolutely great. Incidentally, there really is a big leap in quality when using a different video cable. I bought an HDMI to DVI cable from Hama and the leap in quality was obvious to the whole family.

Super image quality and price!
I bought the Acer P1265 from beamershop24.de and am very satisfied with the performance of the device. I have had it for 1 week and confirm the following plus points:
- it has a DVI connection with DHCP
- it is a 1 DLP CHip with a 6 segment color wheel
- very nice rich colors
- has Eco mode
- white is very nice and bright
- fantastic illumination
- remote control
- freeze function
- has a native resolution of 1024x786
- supports all projection types (also ceiling)
- contrast for movie watching is good to very good
- projector is extremely quiet and blows out nice warm air
- S-video connection and composite
- compact and lightweight for transportation
- D-sub cable included
- rainbow effect not visible
negative points:
- no DVI cable included
- transportation bag is poorly padded
- low zoom factor (1.1), need 3 meters for 1.40 meters picture width
Overall I recommend the system because of the good price/performance ratio and the good picture quality.
