The projector VPL SW636C by Sony utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 at a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 3300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 389 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
