Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL-PHZ10 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 500000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Distance Calculator is recommended. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 479 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Wide screen width or rooms with plenty of light (over 200 lumens).
Great device and also suitable for 16:9 etc. thanks to usable contrast, but unfortunately the good one beeps at 2.5 kHz so loudly that it is not a pleasure.
Otherwise it is a great device, but probably only suitable for projections in equally noisy places, in the room, together with the device switched on it is unfortunately really unpleasant.
Sony has also replaced the device once, but the replacement part has the same fault.
