Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL EX1 device delivers 1500 ANSI lumens and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 as a projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. A look at the light output reveals: The 1500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 225 cm. This model dates back to 2003 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.

Application
Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
Can only recommend it, as it has a very nice and clear typeface. Furthermore, it has a very large projection field, which unfortunately also requires some distance. At a short distance of 2.5m it can unfortunately only project a picture diagonal of approx. 1.2 - 1.4m. It can only show its full potential from 4-5 meters.
I can only recommend Eco mode, which increases the lamp‘s runtime to over 2500 hours and does not differ significantly from normal exposure. Unfortunately, both are not enough to see in full daylight, so light twilight is a must.
I use it as a second monitor for my computer to watch HD-ready movies and for complex work with C4D to see the small icons better. I can also recommend it for educational videos.

After only 148 hours already green cast left side
Cannot recommend the Sony projector VPL-EX1, because the above mentioned
damage occurred after only 148 hours of operation.
