With the VPL FX41, Sony offers a Laser-LCD projector that features 5200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 700:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. According to Sony, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 628 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 419 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
