This projector is named PJ TX200, originates from Hitachi, and its data sheet shows 1200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 7000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 1200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 235 cm. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

I bought my TX200 second-hand on Ebay and although it is already 5 years old, it still works like on the first day. The polarizing filters are not burnt in and the LCD panels have no colour casts.
My device has never been cleaned in all this time, but this can be done very easily - the LCD block is located directly on the lens which can be removed. So you can clean the panels directly with compressed air - very customer-friendly!
The device has only one problem: there is a screen directly behind the lamp, which is driven by a small motor with a gear wheel. This cogwheel breaks after a while due to the heat, as it is made of plastic. But it can be made, here are the dimensions: Bore diameter: 1.5mm, depth: 3mm, outer diameter: 3.5mm, 12 teeth, M0.25.
I am very satisfied with this device and will cherish it for a long time - the black is deep black, the colors very bright, it is almost inaudible. You have to darken the room a lot, but then you have a picture like in a movie theater. The lamps are also relatively cheap to buy (currently just under a hunny).

Maybe someone knows something!
Hello I have had my PJ-TX 200 for 3 years / 2100 hours and am very happy with it.
Now the shutter which is directly in the light channel behind the bulb is defective.
Who knows where to order spare parts for the device? Kind regards Uwe Petereit

The People‘s Beamer
Have been using the TX 100 for 2 years now. Had dust on the panels for the first time today. I cleaned the projector myself. No problem with a good description that you can get on the web. You can also remove the shading yourself. An all-round good device.

I‘ve had the projector for over two years now. I‘ve never had anything to complain about. Sharp, brilliant colors, even the World Cup outside in daylight under the tarpaulin roof - all perfect.
@Wolfgang Raupp: I would change the camera, it‘s not the projector. Or the photographer. You can really only shake your head.

TOP so far!
Im very happy with this thing. I use it for gaming (Xbox 360 via VGA, PS2, Wii), watching TV and DVDs.
Via almost 7m of I project a 3.2m wide image onto the sound-transparent screen that is known in many forums and everyone is consistently surprised by the result. Pure cinema feeling! The thing is pleasantly loud and the remote control works in 7 corners. ;-)

Hitachi PJ-TX200
I use the projector to project digital photos. I am very dissatisfied with the color reproduction: greens appear much too yellow, blues much too red, i.e. purple.
All attempts to solve the problem via the settings on the projector have failed. The preset, selectable modes all deliver unsatisfactory results. In the individual modes, color and color temperature can only be set for video transmission.
The manual is difficult to understand (apparently translated by someone who barely speaks German). The menus are hardly self-explanatory.
Conclusion: I am extremely dissatisfied with this device:

Great picture, bad filter
Great device but Hitachi still hasn‘t solved the dust problem. After 170 hours 2 green (dust) dots, was repaired as a gesture of goodwill, now after approx. 70 hours the same problem again. I am now switching to Sanyo !!!
