Behind the name CP AW3005 is a LCD projector by Hitachi, whose main features include 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 5000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.8 years. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 60 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Hitachi.
