As a projector, the Vivitek DX563ST combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 3000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 15000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 131 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 318 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
