Based on LCD technology, the Dukane ImagePro 8232 projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 80 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 556 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 371 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Dukane.
